An update and examples of success stories
I’ve been officially fistula free for 11 days...11 days full of many thoughts and emotions. It’s slowly sinking in and there’s been lots of moments where reality hits and I’m overcome with joy…I’ve had heaps of mini celebrations, dancing and singing really loud in my room (sorry not sorry to my neighbours). It’s so freeing to be able to move without worrying about pain!
I’ve been going in daily for wound dressing,
but the wound is pretty small now and there is no pain at all! Like at all!! Can’t
believe. Not even slightly. I do still tense up in my appointments and as
smiley Dr Vipin pointed out that’s due to trauma. It’s going to take a while to
understand there is no more pain I think. Even when I sit down I still have
moments of hesitation and automatically sit on my leg, then have another moment
of joyous realisation and sit like a normal person! Then I want to tell whoever
I’m with – look at me! I’m sitting!
I have had to take the packing out
of my own wound which I was dreading. It’s not exactly pleasant but I gave
myself a lecture and pointed out that I’ve come so far and have been so strong for
most of this, I can do it. And I did. And I survived. Of course it wasn’t so
bad.
Doc had a few days off for a very
special reason. He and his beautiful family were invited to Israel by his
previous patients for a few days to visit the country, meet fellow doctors, attend
an event…and the rest. Over 150 of his previously healed patients attended this
event that was organised specifically to honour Dr Bhat. Imagine that – a room
full of people he has healed, all giving him a standing ovation, all grateful
to one human for getting their life back. One very special human. I talk often
about how amazing doc is, and I will continue to do so. It’s so much more than his
skill with killing fistulas. It’s his genuine care for humans and awesome personality. I
imagine as a doctor this would be one of the most rewarding and meaningful things that could
happen. He was clearly overwhelmed and grateful and expressed this well in his
speech.
It was a very emotional night for
me (ok so I’m always emotional but more so on this particular night). Oh how I
wished I could have been there personally, but my sweet friends included me from
afar. I received many photos and videos and messages throughout. One legend of
a friend videoed me regularly and showed me all the happy faces of my friends (of
course I cried) and even videoed me so I could listen to the speeches. I truly
felt missed and it helped me cope with not being there physically. It was a
special evening for so many reasons, I imagine the emotions were running high
in that room.
I’ve collated some examples of success stories in my time here that I’ve included below, along with the scans provided by Dr Shankar. I wanted to provide a visual for possible future patients so they can see firsthand cases of those that have been successfully treated by Kshar Sutra. Obviously if someone chooses to come here for treatment, they will need to be assessed and doc will advise of odds and timeframes and whatnot, but I know before coming here I would have liked to see these examples. Not only to see how successful this treatment is, but to show how different everyone’s story is. I hope it helps.

All
the staff and Dr Bhat are wonderful sensitive and caring people. The treatment wasn’t
easy for me but it was mainly due fears I had in my mind because of prior Dr
testings and treatments. I highly recommend coming to do the surgery, if not
possible straight away than to start taking the doctor’s Ayurvedic medicines
